It was easily accessible and clear in its mission. I was able to stay focused in the comfort of my own home. The information was presented smoothly, and clearly. It was not rushed, and I was able to take copious notes for future reference. I connected with the visual images. The use of the basket in which your choices are kept was highly effective. The image of a template as a frame to help establish a system was also quite helpful. Paula Eder presented clear instruction. It was easily understood, even humorous at times. I was able to connect with what was being taught, and have already started implementing some of the strategies in my daily life. Thanks, Paula! Renee _________________________________________________________________ Suzanne Wason wrote: As a first time caller, I really appreciated Ellen's welcoming voice - pleasant, knowledgeable and reassuring, and I also appreciated both Ellen and Paula's conversational style. Their interactions were genuine and enthusiastic.Paula's use of analogies - time as a basket…, if you chase 2 rabbits… - and her visualizations really were helpful. It's so important with an audio format to create a picture in the "mind's eye". I particularly loved the balance of theoretical and practical information. For example: Connecting prioritizing with assertiveness and values. Then going on to give an example of a distasteful task - taxes Then practical steps in how to do it - a timer, a time limit, a break, etc. I'm also really enjoying working with the list process Paula discussed. I've been able to focus on my choices and see where I need to adjust the selection or my time frame. I thought I had been completing many tasks in a certain time frame and discovered I was taking about twice as long - the times 2 rule! I also discovered I wasn't moving my unfinished items to the top of my list for the next day, I kept putting them at the bottom of the list, because they didn't need to be done "right away", and before I knew it they did need to be done" right away"! I was gong from one crisis to another! I'm starting to get more satisfaction from completing a list than putting it off. This list thing really works! Most of all, Paula's knowledge of her subject is apparent by the content of the workshop and her ease of presentation, but her enthusiasm and ability to connect with her audience through this "ear to ear " format is what really makes this workshop stand out. I particularly liked: Your answer to my question.... reward myself after a task is done. The idea that we manage our choices, not time. How our time choices match our values. We can't add an activity, unless we take another activity out of our time basket. Thank you so much for your help in this important area! I’m really looking forward to your next Teleclass!!” Suzanne _________________________________________________________________ Here are some of the NEW Topics that Paula will be discussing on September 21, 2006 when she is interviewed by Ellen Hewett: Procrastination Why do we procrastinate?
